9 killed in demonstrations in Iran

Nine people were killed last night in the central Iranian province of Isfahan in violence linked to demonstrations that have been erupting in Iran since Thursday, in protests against the corruption of the Iranian regime, economic distress, unemployment rate and high prices.
The AFP reported that six demonstrators were killed in clashes with security forces in front of a police station in the town of Qahdarijan, while three Paramilitary Revolutionary Guards were killed in the in Khariz Singh, a passerby in the town of Khomeinishahr and a policeman in Najafabad.
