The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is headed by the Speaker of Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh.

The participants will discuss the implications of the decision of the United States of America to transfer its embassy to occupied Jerusalem ( Al-Quds), in addition to developments in the Gaza Strip.

Speaker of Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh expressed the Saudi rejection of the recent adoption by the Israeli Knesset of the law called «The National State of the Jewish People.»

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirms that this law contradicts the provisions of international law and the principles of international legitimacy, adding that the international community must shoulder its responsibilities and address this law, or any Israeli attempts aimed at perpetuating racial discrimination against the people.

This came during his speech during the opening session of the meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Union at its 28th special session.

Dr. Al-Sheikh said that the reason for the emergency meeting was the recent attacks and killings in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation and the declaration of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as the capital of Israel, stressing that holding the conference reflects the responsible sense of the seriousness of the situation and its importance to the Palestinian cause.

He said: «Saudi Arabia has stood with the Palestinian cause in all its stages since the era of King Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud,and until Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who supported the Palestinian cause and those who believe in its justice, and stressed this at the 29th Arab Summit recently held in the Kingdom, called»Al-Quds Summit.
