Riyadh - Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage signed in Tokyo today with the University of Waseda, Japan a joint cooperation agreement for archaeological excavations at the site of the Hawra in Amluj Governorate, Tabuk region.
The signing of the agreement came in the framework of the visit by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage to Tokyo.
The agreement was signed by the Commission, Vice President for Antiquities and Museums Jamal Omar, and Waseda University Professor Hasagawa Su.
According to the agreement, a team from the university will participate with a joint Saudi team in the field of archaeological research on the site, within the Saudi international joint missions operating in the Saudi Arabia under the supervision of the Commission.
