وزير الداخلية ونظيره الإسباني يبحثان التعاون الأمني ويوقّعان وثيقة التدريب الشاملة

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, held an official meeting today with the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Spain, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, in the Spanish capital, Madrid.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz stated at the beginning of the session that the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, emphasize the continuation of enhancing security cooperation with the Kingdom of Spain, in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries.

During the talks, both sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Spain, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and security coordination between the interior ministries of both countries, in addition to discussing a number of topics of mutual interest.

Both sides affirmed the importance of continuing to develop bilateral cooperation in security fields, including those related to combating crime in all its forms, tracking down perpetrators, addressing drug trafficking and money laundering networks, and combating terrorism and extremism in all its forms, as well as enhancing the exchange of experiences and practices, and developing capacities among specialists on both sides.

Following the talks, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Spain signed a comprehensive training document between the interior ministries of both countries, aimed at exchanging experiences, developing capacities, supporting training and rehabilitation programs, and advancing areas of mutual interest.

Attending the talks and the signing of the document were Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz bin Ayaf Al Muqrin, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra, Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research, Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arawan, Director General of Legal Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Issa, and Deputy General Supervisor of International Partnership Programs, Major General Firas bin Saleh Al-Saleh.

From the Spanish side, attending were the Director General of International Relations and Foreign Affairs, Elena Garcón Otañendi, Deputy Director General for International Police Cooperation Eduardo Borobio León, and Assistant Deputy Director General for International Police Cooperation Cristina Andreu Grailes.
