أطلق مجلس إدارة الهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض، اليوم، مشروع (الحي الرقمي بالرياض)؛ بوصفه إحدى المبادرات الإستراتيجية الهادفة إلى ترسيخ مكانة العاصمة كإحدى أفضل عشر مناطق تقنية في العالم، وتعزيز حضورها كمركز عالمي للمواهب الرقمية وريادة الأعمال المستقبلية.
ويأتي الحي الرقمي كمنظومة تطويرية متكاملة تُعنى ببناء بيئة أعمال رقمية متقدمة داخل المدينة، تستقطب الشركات العالمية والمواهب المتخصصة، وتدعم نمو الاقتصاد المعرفي القائم على الابتكار والقيادة الرقمية.
ويركز المشروع على استقطاب الكفاءات والشركات العاملة في ستة مجالات تقنية محورية تشمل: الذكاء الاصطناعي والبيانات الضخمة، الأمن السيبراني، الحوسبة والخدمات السحابية، إنترنت الأشياء، تقنية سلاسل الكتل، والروبوتات والطائرات بدون طيار؛ وهي قطاعات تستحوذ على النصيب الأكبر من الاستثمارات العالمية في شركات الابتكار.
ورفع وزير الدولة عضو مجلس الوزراء الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض المهندس إبراهيم بن محمد السلطان، شكره وامتنانه لخادم الحرمين الشريفين ولي العهد – حفظهما الله – على ما تحظى به مشروعات الهيئة من دعم ورعاية، مؤكدًا أن هذه المبادرة النوعية تعزز موقع الرياض كوجهة عالمية للمواهب والشركات التقنية، وتدفعها نحو آفاق قيادية في القطاعات المستقبلية الواعدة.
وأشار السلطان إلى أن إطلاق الحي الرقمي يعكس حرص القيادة على تمكين العاصمة من تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 عبر بناء اقتصاد متنوع ومزدهر يعتمد على الابتكار التقني والتحول الرقمي، واحتضان المبادرات التي تعزز الإبداع واستشراف المستقبل.
The Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City launched today the (Digital District in Riyadh) project; as one of the strategic initiatives aimed at establishing the capital's position as one of the top ten technology regions in the world, and enhancing its presence as a global center for digital talent and future entrepreneurship.
The Digital District comes as a comprehensive developmental system concerned with building an advanced digital business environment within the city, attracting global companies and specialized talents, and supporting the growth of a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and digital leadership.
The project focuses on attracting talents and companies operating in six key technological areas including: artificial intelligence and big data, cybersecurity, cloud computing and services, the Internet of Things, blockchain technology, and robotics and drones; sectors that capture the largest share of global investments in innovation companies.
The Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sultan, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince – may Allah protect them – for the support and care that the Commission's projects receive, affirming that this qualitative initiative enhances Riyadh's position as a global destination for tech talents and companies, pushing it towards leadership horizons in promising future sectors.
Al-Sultan indicated that the launch of the Digital District reflects the leadership's keenness to empower the capital to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by building a diverse and prosperous economy based on technological innovation and digital transformation, and embracing initiatives that enhance creativity and future foresight.
