نيابة عن وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، شارك وكيل وزارة الخارجية للشؤون الدولية المتعددة الدكتور عبدالرحمن بن إبراهيم الرسي، في نيويورك، في الاجتماع الوزاري المشترك لجامعة الدول العربية ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي بشأن القدس، على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
وبحث الاجتماع مستجدات الأوضاع في القدس، مؤكدًا الحفاظ على وضعها التاريخي والقانوني ومقدساتها، ورفض أي ممارسات تمس هويتها العربية والإسلامية والمسيحية، وضرورة وقف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على المقدسات، إلى جانب تعزيز التحرك العربي والإسلامي المشترك لحماية القدس ودعم الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني.
On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, participated in New York in the joint ministerial meeting of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding Jerusalem, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the situation in Jerusalem, emphasizing the preservation of its historical and legal status and its sanctities, rejecting any practices that affect its Arab, Islamic, and Christian identity, and the necessity of stopping Israeli assaults on the sanctities, in addition to enhancing joint Arab and Islamic action to protect Jerusalem and support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
