استعرض وزير الخارجية في اتصال هاتفي تلقاه مع نظيره العراقي، العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وسبل تعزيز التعاون بينهما في مختلف المجالات، ولا سيما المجال الأمني، بما يسهم في التعامل مع التحديات الإقليمية الراهنة.
وتناول الاتصال الاعتداءات الإرهابية الأخيرة التي طالت مناطق في المملكة، حيث أعرب فؤاد حسين عن إدانة الحكومة العراقية لهذه الاعتداءات، ورفضها كل ما يطال المدنيين والمنشآت المدنية من أذى، مؤكداً موقف العراق الثابت بعدم السماح باستخدام أراضيه منطلقاً لأي اعتداءات أو أعمال تمس أمن المملكة ودول المنطقة.
من جانبه، أكد وزير الخارجية دعم المملكة لجهود الحكومة العراقية الرامية إلى خفض التوتر، ومساعيها في مواصلة العمل المشترك مع دول الجوار، بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

The call addressed the recent terrorist attacks that targeted areas in the Kingdom, where Fouad Hussein expressed the Iraqi government's condemnation of these attacks and its rejection of any harm to civilians and civilian facilities, affirming Iraq's firm position of not allowing its territory to be used as a launchpad for any attacks or actions that threaten the security of the Kingdom and the countries of the region.
For his part, the Foreign Minister affirmed the Kingdom's support for the Iraqi government's efforts to reduce tensions and its endeavors to continue joint work with neighboring countries, contributing to enhancing security and stability in the region.
