The Ministry of Interior issued a statement today (Saturday) regarding the implementation of a death penalty ruling against one of the perpetrators in the Makkah region, the text of which is as follows:
Allah, the Almighty, said: “And do not cause corruption upon the earth after its reformation,” and He said: “And do not seek corruption in the land; indeed, Allah does not like the corruptors,” and He said: “And Allah does not like corruption,” and He said: “Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive to spread corruption in the land is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.”
The perpetrator, / Aaidh bin Abduh bin Barkai Aradi - a Saudi national - committed the heinous act against a minor girl, and sexually harassed other minors. By the grace of Allah, the security authorities were able to arrest the aforementioned perpetrator. The investigation with him resulted in charges being directed against him for committing the crime, and upon referring him to the competent court, his eligibility and accountability were established; a ruling was issued confirming what was attributed to him. Given the repetition of these heinous acts by the perpetrator and the seriousness of the crime he committed, which necessitates a stricter punishment to achieve deterrence and to warn those who might think of harming the country and its people, a ruling was issued for his execution as a deterrent. The ruling became final after being appealed and upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided by Sharia.
The death penalty was executed against the perpetrator / Aaidh bin Abduh bin Barkai Aradi - a Saudi national - on Saturday, 27/5/1448 AH, corresponding to 7/11/2026 AD, in the Makkah region.
The Ministry of Interior announces this to affirm to everyone the commitment of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain security, achieve justice, and implement the rulings of Islamic law against anyone who transgresses against the safe and violates their honor and their right to life and security. At the same time, it warns anyone who may think of committing such acts that the legal punishment will be their fate.
