أحكمت الأجهزة الأمنية العراقية سيطرتها على غالبية المناطق داخل العاصمة بغداد، تحسبا لأي عمليات إرهابية تعتزم عناصر «داعش» تنفيذها بعد ورود معلومات أمنية تفيد عزم التنظيم نقل معارك الموصل إلى داخل العاصمة. وأوضحت مصادر عراقية لـ«عكاظ» أن رئيس الوزراء حيدر العبادي اجتمع مع قادة الأجهزة الأمنية وبحث معهم تأمين الحماية لمناطق العاصمة، وإحكام السيطرة على مداخل ومخارج بغداد.

وعلى صعيد متصل، قالت مصادر أمنية أن أجهزة الاستخبارات وجهاز مكافحة الإرهاب يجريان عمليات تفتيش ومداهمة في بعض مناطق الكرادة؛ بحثا عن خلية تابعة لـ «داعش» بعد معلومات تؤكد عزم هذه الخلية تنفيذ عمليات انتحارية داخل العاصمة.
