أفادت منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسيف) أمس (الجمعة) أن قرابة 340 ألف طفل من الروهينغا يعيشون في ظل أوضاع قذرة في مخيمات داخل بنغلاديش، ويعانون من سوء التغذية والمرض والصدمات النفسية، ويفتقرون إلى ما يكفي من الطعام والماء النظيف والرعاية الصحية، بحسب ما أورد موقع «سكاي نيوز».

وأوضحت «يونيسيف» في تقرير بعنوان «منبوذون وبائسون»، أن ما يصل إلى 12 ألف طفل آخرين ينضمون إلى هؤلاء الأطفال أسبوعياً هرباً من العنف أو الجوع في بورما ولا يزالون يشعرون بالصدمة بسبب الفظائع التي شهدوها، وأضافت أنها تسعى إلى الحصول على 76 مليون دولار ضمن مناشدة أطلقتها الأمم المتحدة لتوفير 434 مليون دولار لإغاثة اللاجئين الروهينغا لمدة ستة أشهر لكنها لم تحصل إلا على 7% من هذا المبلغ.
