دانت مصر بأشد العبارات اقتحام وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي إيتمار بن غفير وأعضاء الكنيست وآلاف المستوطنين للمسجد الأقصى المبارك، تحت حماية الشرطة الإسرائيلية، وما صاحب ذلك من ممارسات استفزازية، بما يمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً للوضع التاريخي والقانوني القائم في المسجد الأقصى المبارك.
وبحسب بيان رسمي صدر عن وزارة الخارجية المصرية، حذّرت القاهرة من أن استمرار هذه الانتهاكات والممارسات الاستفزازية من شأنه تأجيج التوتر وتقويض فرص التهدئة والاستقرار، ويدفع نحو مزيد من التصعيد في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة والمنطقة، بما يهدد الأمن والسلم الإقليميين.
وجددت مصر مطالبتها للمجتمع الدولي، ومجلس الأمن بالاضطلاع بمسؤولياتهما لوقف الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية بحق المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في القدس المحتلة، وضمان احترام الوضع التاريخي والقانوني القائم، والالتزام بأحكام القانون الدولي وقرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، بما يسهم في استعادة الأمن والاستقرار، ويحافظ على فرص تحقيق السلام العادل والشامل على أساس حل الدولتين.
واقتحم مئات المستوطنين الإسرائيليين يتقدمهم وزير الأمن القومي اليميني المتطرف إيتمار بن غفير، وعضو الكنيست عن حزب الليكود الحاكم عميت هليفي، اليوم (الخميس)، الأقصى وسط حراسة مشددة من الشرطة.
وخلال عملية الاقتحام رفع المستوطنون العلم الإسرائيلي أمام قبة الصخرة، وبحسب وسائل إعلام فلسطينية فإن الشرطة الإسرائيلية نصبت مظلة للمستوطنين في الساحة الشرقية للمسجد الأقصى، كما فرضت قيوداً مشددة ومنعت دخول المسلمين للمسجد الأقصى المبارك.
Egypt strongly condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, members of the Knesset, and thousands of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli police, along with the accompanying provocative practices, which represent a blatant violation of the historical and legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to an official statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo warned that the continuation of these violations and provocative practices could escalate tensions and undermine opportunities for calm and stability, leading to further escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the region, which threatens regional security and peace.
Egypt reiterated its call for the international community and the Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities to stop Israeli violations against Islamic and Christian sanctities in occupied Jerusalem, ensure respect for the existing historical and legal status, and adhere to international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, which contribute to restoring security and stability and maintaining opportunities for achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
Hundreds of Israeli settlers, led by the far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Knesset member Amit Halevi from the ruling Likud party, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque today (Thursday) amidst heavy police protection.
During the storming, the settlers raised the Israeli flag in front of the Dome of the Rock, and according to Palestinian media, the Israeli police set up a canopy for the settlers in the eastern courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, while imposing strict restrictions and preventing Muslims from entering the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
