كشف مصدر أمني عراقي تنفيذ عملية أمنية نوعية في محافظة الأنبار، أسفرت عن العثور على مخزون كبير من الأسلحة والمعدات العسكرية داخل مزرعة تعود لأحد أعضاء مجلس النواب.
وقال المصدر، في تصريح لوكالة «السومرية نيوز»، اليوم الإثنين: إن قوة أمنية قادمة من العاصمة بغداد، وبالتنسيق مع فوج الأنبار الأول التابع لجهاز مكافحة الإرهاب، نفّذت عملية ميدانية دقيقة في منطقة المحمدي، التابعة لقضاء هيت غربي محافظة الأنبار، في إطار الجهود الأمنية المستمرة لتعقب الأسلحة غير المرخصة والحد من انتشارها.
وأضاف المصدر أن العملية، التي نُفذت داخل المزرعة أسفرت عن «ضبط كدس ومخزون كبير من الأسلحة والمواد العسكرية»، مشيراً إلى أن القوات الأمنية قامت برفع المضبوطات بالكامل، وتواصل استكمال إجراءاتها الأمنية والتفتيشية في المنطقة لضمان عدم وجود أي مواد مشبوهة أخرى، مع استمرار التحقيق لكشف ملابسات القضية والجهات المتورطة.
ويعد ملف حصر السلاح بيد الدولة من أبرز القضايا السياسية والأمنية في العراق منذ عام 2003، وتزايد الاهتمام به بعد ظهور جماعات مسلحة خلال الحرب على تنظيم داعش عام 2014، قبل أن يتم تنظيم وضع هيئة الحشد الشعبي قانونياً عام 2016 باعتبارها جزءاً من القوات المسلحة العراقية وترتبط بالقائد العام للقوات المسلحة.
لكن رغم الإطار القانوني لدمج الحشد ضمن مؤسسات الدولة، ظل ملف تنظيم السلاح والعلاقة بين الدولة والفصائل المسلحة من الملفات الحساسة في المشهد العراقي، مع استمرار الدعوات السياسية لتأكيد أن تكون القرارات الأمنية والعسكرية ضمن مؤسسات الدولة الرسمية.
An Iraqi security source revealed the execution of a qualitative security operation in Anbar province, which resulted in the discovery of a large stockpile of weapons and military equipment inside a farm belonging to a member of the House of Representatives.
The source stated, in a statement to the "Al-Sumaria News" agency, today, Monday: A security force coming from the capital Baghdad, in coordination with the first Anbar regiment of the Counter-Terrorism Service, carried out a precise field operation in the Al-Muhammadi area, which is part of the Heet district in western Anbar province, as part of ongoing security efforts to track unlicensed weapons and curb their spread.
The source added that the operation, which was carried out inside the farm, resulted in "the seizure of a large cache and stockpile of weapons and military materials," noting that the security forces completely removed the seized items and continue to complete their security and inspection procedures in the area to ensure that there are no other suspicious materials, while investigations continue to uncover the circumstances of the case and the parties involved.
The issue of restricting weapons to the state has been one of the most prominent political and security issues in Iraq since 2003, and interest in it increased after the emergence of armed groups during the war against ISIS in 2014, before the legal status of the Popular Mobilization Forces was organized in 2016, considering them part of the Iraqi armed forces and linked to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
However, despite the legal framework for integrating the Popular Mobilization Forces into state institutions, the issue of weapon organization and the relationship between the state and armed factions remains a sensitive topic in the Iraqi scene, with ongoing political calls to ensure that security and military decisions are made within the official state institutions.
