أعلنت شبكة أطباء السودان مقتل 27 شخصاً، بينهم 4 أطفال، وإصابة آخرين؛ جراء هجمات شنتها الحركة الشعبية بقيادة عبدالعزيز الحلو على منطقتي القردود وأبو حمامة بولاية جنوب كردفان، على خلفية الصراع مع قبيلة الأطورو التي تقطن المنطقة.
وأفادت الشبكة في بيان، اليوم (الأربعاء)، بأن الهجمات أسفرت عن موجة نزوح كبيرة وسط المواطنين باتجاه منطقة أبو حيطان ومدينة كادوقلي حاضرة الولاية.
وأكدت أن استهداف المدنيين العزل يمثل انتهاكاً صريحاً للقانون الدولي الإنساني، محذرة من أن استمرار هذه الانتهاكات من شأنه أن يحول الصراع في جنوب كردفان إلى صراع واسع.
وطالبت الشبكة المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الحقوقية والإنسانية بممارسة ضغوط عاجلة على قيادات الحركة الشعبية بقيادة عبدالعزيز الحلو، لوقف الهجمات الانتقامية واستهداف المدنيين. ودعت إلى ضمان وصول المساعدات الإنسانية للنازحين والمتضررين، ومحاسبة كل من يثبت تورطه في استهداف المدنيين وانتهاك حقوقهم.
وتشهد ولاية جنوب كردفان بجانب ولايتي شمال وغرب كردفان منذ 25 أكتوبر الماضي اشتباكات بين الجيش السوداني وقوات الدعم السريع وحليفتها الحركة الشعبية، أسفرت عن نزوح عشرات الآلاف خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
ومنذ شهر أبريل من عام 2023، تخوض قوات الدعم السريع حرباً مع الجيش السوداني، ما أدى إلى مجاعة تُعد من بين الأسوأ عالمياً، فضلاً عن مقتل عشرات الآلاف من السودانيين ونزوح نحو 13 مليون شخص.
The Sudan Doctors Network announced the death of 27 people, including 4 children, and the injury of others due to attacks launched by the Sudan People's Liberation Movement led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu on the areas of al-Qardoud and Abu Hamama in South Kordofan state, against the backdrop of the conflict with the Al-Atoro tribe residing in the area.
The network reported in a statement today (Wednesday) that the attacks resulted in a large wave of displacement among citizens towards the Abu Haytan area and the city of Kadugli, the capital of the state.
It confirmed that targeting unarmed civilians constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, warning that the continuation of these violations could turn the conflict in South Kordofan into a widespread war.
The network called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to exert urgent pressure on the leadership of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu to stop retaliatory attacks and the targeting of civilians. It urged ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to the displaced and affected individuals, and holding accountable anyone found to be involved in targeting civilians and violating their rights.
Since October 25, South Kordofan state, along with North and West Kordofan states, has witnessed clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces and its ally, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement, resulting in the displacement of tens of thousands in recent times.
Since April 2023, the Rapid Support Forces have been engaged in a war with the Sudanese army, leading to a famine considered among the worst globally, in addition to the deaths of tens of thousands of Sudanese and the displacement of nearly 13 million people.
