أكد المتحدث باسم الرئاسة الروسية «الكرملين» دميتري بيسكوف أن موسكو لا تزال منفتحة على إجراء مفاوضات بين الوفدين الروسي والأوكراني في تركيا، لكن المتطلبات الأساسية لتحقيق ذلك غير متوفرة حتى الآن.
وقال بيسكوف في تصريح صحفي: «ما زلنا منفتحين على مثل هذه المفاوضات».
من جهة أخرى، أشار بيسكوف إلى أن عقد قمة بين الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين ونظيريه الأمريكي دونالد ترمب والأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي ممكن فقط لتثبيت الاتفاقات التي تم التوصل إليها.
وقال بيسكوف: «لقد طُرح عقد قمة الرؤساء بوتين وترمب وزيلينسكي منذ فترة طويلة.. مثل هذا اللقاء ممكن فقط لتثبيت الاتفاقات».
تأتي تصريحات بيسكوف عقب تقارير إعلامية أفادت بأن مدير وكالة الاستخبارات المركزية الأمريكية جون راتكليف طرح، خلال زيارة غير معلنة إلى موسكو في 25 أغسطس الجاري، فكرة عقد قمة ثلاثية تجمع الرؤساء بوتين وترمب وزيلينسكي، في محاولة لإحياء الجهود الدبلوماسية المتعثرة لإنهاء الحرب."
The spokesperson for the Russian presidency, "the Kremlin," Dmitry Peskov, confirmed that Moscow remains open to conducting negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Turkey, but the basic requirements to achieve this are not yet available.
Peskov stated in a press statement: "We are still open to such negotiations."
On the other hand, Peskov indicated that holding a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is only possible to solidify the agreements that have been reached.
Peskov said: "The idea of holding a summit between Presidents Putin, Trump, and Zelensky has been raised for a long time... Such a meeting is only possible to solidify the agreements."
Peskov's statements come following media reports that U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe proposed, during an unannounced visit to Moscow on August 25, the idea of a trilateral summit bringing together Presidents Putin, Trump, and Zelensky, in an attempt to revive stalled diplomatic efforts to end the war.
