جدد الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي التأكيد على ثبات موقف القاهرة الداعم لوحدة السودان وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه، واستمرارها في الدفع بحل سياسي للأزمة الراهنة وإنهاء الحرب.
وشدد السيسي خلال لقاء رئيس مجلس السيادة السوداني عبد الفتاح البرهان في العلمين، على هامش أعمال الاجتماع التنسيقي الثامن للاتحاد الأفريقي، (الأحد)، على ضرورة الحفاظ على وحدة مؤسساته الوطنية، وفق بيان للرئاسة المصرية.
وقال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية محمد الشناوي: إن اللقاء تناول تطورات الأوضاع في السودان، حيث جدد السيسي دعم مصر للشعب السوداني وتمسكها بالحفاظ على وحدة البلاد وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها ومؤسساتها الوطنية. وأكد الرئيس المصري استمرار بلاده في بذل الجهود على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي للدفع نحو حل سياسي للأزمة والمساهمة في إنهاء الحرب، بما يخفف المعاناة الإنسانية عن السودانيين ويمهد لاستعادة الأمن والاستقرار وبدء مرحلة إعادة الإعمار والتنمية.
من جانبه، أعرب البرهان عن تقديره للمواقف المصرية الداعمة للسودان، معتبراً أنها تعكس خصوصية العلاقات التاريخية بين البلدين، وفق بيان الرئاسة المصرية. وأشاد بالدعم السياسي والإنساني الذي تقدمه القاهرة، فضلاً عن استضافتها أعداداً كبيرة من السودانيين الذين غادروا بلادهم جراء الحرب. وشدد البرهان، بحسب البيان، على أهمية عدم المساواة بين مؤسسات الدولة السودانية الشرعية وبين المليشيات المتمردة أو الكيانات الموازية، مثمناً موقف القاهرة في هذا الشأن.
وتطرقت مباحثات السيسي والبرهان إلى العلاقات الثنائية وسبل تعزيز التعاون بين مصر والسودان. وأكد السيسي حرص القاهرة على مواصلة تقديم الدعم للسودان في مختلف المجالات، والعمل على توسيع أطر التعاون بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة للبلدين. ويأتي اللقاء مع استمرار التحركات الإقليمية والدولية الرامية إلى وقف الحرب السودانية والتعامل مع تداعياتها الإنسانية، فيما تتمسك القاهرة، وفق موقفها المعلن، بوحدة مؤسسات الدولة السودانية ورفض أي مسار من شأنه المساس بوحدة البلاد أو سلامة أراضيها.
The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Cairo's steadfast position supporting Sudan's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and its continued push for a political solution to the current crisis and the end of the war.
During a meeting with the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, in El-Alamein, on the sidelines of the eighth African Union coordination meeting (on Sunday), El-Sisi emphasized the necessity of preserving the unity of Sudan's national institutions, according to a statement from the Egyptian presidency.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the meeting addressed the developments in Sudan, where El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's support for the Sudanese people and its commitment to maintaining the unity of the country, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions. The Egyptian president confirmed that his country would continue to exert efforts at both the regional and international levels to push for a political solution to the crisis and contribute to ending the war, alleviating the humanitarian suffering of Sudanese people, paving the way for restoring security and stability, and starting a phase of reconstruction and development.
For his part, Al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for Egypt's supportive positions towards Sudan, considering them a reflection of the unique historical relations between the two countries, according to the statement from the Egyptian presidency. He praised the political and humanitarian support provided by Cairo, as well as its hosting of a large number of Sudanese who left their country due to the war. Al-Burhan emphasized, according to the statement, the importance of not equating the legitimate Sudanese state institutions with the rebel militias or parallel entities, valuing Cairo's stance in this regard.
The discussions between El-Sisi and Al-Burhan also touched on bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Sudan. El-Sisi confirmed Cairo's keenness to continue providing support to Sudan in various fields and to work on expanding cooperation frameworks to achieve the common interests of the two countries. This meeting comes amid ongoing regional and international efforts aimed at stopping the Sudanese war and addressing its humanitarian repercussions, while Cairo maintains, according to its declared position, the unity of Sudan's state institutions and rejects any path that could undermine the country's unity or territorial integrity.
