لقي أربعة أشخاص، بينهم ثلاثة أطفال، مصرعهم إثر حادث إطلاق نار استهدف مدرسة «سيلفر رايل» الابتدائية في مدينة بند بولاية أوريغون، شمال غربي الولايات المتحدة، وفق ما نقلته وسائل إعلام أمريكية عن مصادر أمنية.
وأفادت شبكتا «سي بي إس» و«سي إن إن» بمقتل الأطفال الثلاثة وشخص بالغ على الأقل في الحادث، فيما أعلنت الشرطة مقتل المشتبه فيه بإطلاق النار، دون أن تتضح حتى الآن هوية الشخص الذي أطلق النار عليه.
وقالت المتحدثة باسم شرطة مدينة بند، شيلا ميلر، خلال مؤتمر صحفي، إن التحقيقات لا تزال جارية لتحديد ملابسات الواقعة وحصر عدد الضحايا، مشيرة إلى أن الشرطة تلقت بلاغًا بشأن حادث خطير قرابة الساعة الواحدة ظهرًا بالتوقيت المحلي، ووصلت الفرق الأمنية إلى الموقع بعد نحو دقيقتين.
وعقب الحادث، فرضت السلطات إجراءات أمنية احترازية في المدرسة، قبل أن تبدأ بنقل التلاميذ عبر الحافلات إلى موقع آخر، تمهيدًا لتسليمهم إلى ذويهم.

Four people, including three children, were killed in a shooting incident targeting Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, in the northwestern United States, according to American media reports citing security sources.
Both CBS and CNN reported that the three children and at least one adult were killed in the incident, while police announced the death of the suspected shooter, though the identity of the person who opened fire has not yet been clarified.
Sheila Miller, a spokesperson for the Bend Police Department, stated during a press conference that investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident and to account for the number of victims, noting that the police received a report about a serious incident around 1 PM local time, and security teams arrived at the scene about two minutes later.
Following the incident, authorities implemented precautionary security measures at the school before beginning to transport students by bus to another location, in preparation for handing them over to their families.
Authorities have not yet revealed further details regarding the motives behind the shooting or the circumstances that led to it.
