The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the targeting of the liquefied natural gas tanker "Al-Maida," belonging to Qatar Gas Transport Company, in the waters of the Arabian Gulf, reiterating its rejection of all violations that threaten the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.
The ministry stated in a statement: "The Kingdom reaffirms its solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar in all measures it takes to protect its maritime tankers and the safety of its international trade, and emphasizes the importance of the international community taking urgent measures to ensure maritime security and the safety of international trade, and to apply international law in this regard."
