تحولت أجهزة إنفاذ القانون في ولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية من منصة لحماية الأمن العام إلى أداة تجسس عائلية، بعدما كشفت السجلات الرقمية تورط ضابط شرطة في ملاحقة سيارة زوجته المنفصلة عنه بشكل هستيري، لتنتهي حيلته بالاعتقال والمحاكمة الجنائية.
وأظهرت تحقيقات شرطة مدينة «هاينز سيتي» أن الضابط كريستوفر غودسون استغل صلاحياته للوصول إلى نظام كاميرات «Flock» المخصص لقراءة لوحات السيارات وتتبعها، مُجرياً 717 عملية بحث عن مركبة زوجته بين سبتمبر 2024 ويونيو 2026:
- تصاعد الهوس: سجل الضابط في شهر أغسطس 2025 وحده 86 عملية بحث، قبل أن يقفز الرقم في سبتمبر من العام نفسه إلى 280 عملية بحث (بمعدل يتجاوز 9 مرات يومياً).
- تعقب لحظي: كشفت السجلات إجراءه عمليات بحث متتالية ومكثفة في اليوم الواحد لرصد تحركات المركبة وأماكن تواجدها.
لكي يبرر دخوله المكثف إلى قاعدة البيانات الأمنية أمام النظام الرقابي للشرطة، أرفق الضابط عمليات البحث بمبررات وجرائم خطيرة لا أساس لها من الصحة:
- سجل ادعاءات كاذبة: أدخل الضابط مبررات أمنية شملت حيازة المخدرات، والقيادة المتهورة، والسرقة، والاعتداء، والفرار من الشرطة.
- انكشاف الحيلة: أثبتت مراجعة القضايا عدم وجود أي بلاغ أو تحقيق جنائي رسمي يتعلق بالزوجة أو سيارتها، ما أكد تلفيقه للتهم بغرض التجسس الشخصي.
وعند مواجهته بالأدلة الدامغة، زعم غودسون أنه كان يحاول الاطمئنان على مكان وجود أطفاله برفقة والدتهم، إلا أن المحققين رفضوا تبريره فوراً:
- حسم الأمن: أكدت التحريات أن قواعد البيانات الشرطية مُصممة لملاحقة المجرمين وليس لحل النزاعات الأسرية أو تتبع الأفراد.
- السقوط المهني: اعتُقل الضابط وتوجهت له اتهامات بسوء السلوك الوظيفي والاستخدام غير المصرح به لأنظمة الحاسوب، ليُوضع في إجازة مدفوعة تمهيداً لاستقالته ومحاكمته.
ويمكن القول إنه عندما تُسخَّر أدوات المراقبة الشرطية للانتقام الشخصي وتُلفق الاتهامات بالأكاذيب.. تتحول الكاميرات التي ترصد الجناة إلى دليل يقتاد الضابط نفسه إلى القفص.
Law enforcement agencies in the state of Florida, USA, have transformed from a platform for protecting public safety into a family spying tool, after digital records revealed a police officer's involvement in hysterically tracking his estranged wife's car, leading to his arrest and criminal prosecution.
Investigations by the "Haines City" police department showed that Officer Christopher Goodson exploited his powers to access the "Flock" camera system designed for reading and tracking license plates, conducting 717 searches for his wife's vehicle between September 2024 and June 2026:
- Escalating obsession: The officer recorded 86 searches in August 2025 alone, before the number jumped to 280 searches in September of the same year (averaging over 9 times a day).
- Real-time tracking: Records revealed that he conducted consecutive and intensive searches in a single day to monitor the vehicle's movements and locations.
To justify his extensive access to the security database in front of the police oversight system, the officer attached his searches to baseless serious justifications and crimes:
- False claims record: The officer entered security justifications that included drug possession, reckless driving, theft, assault, and fleeing from the police.
- Exposure of the scheme: A review of the cases proved that there were no reports or official criminal investigations related to the wife or her car, confirming that he fabricated the charges for personal spying purposes.
When confronted with compelling evidence, Goodson claimed he was trying to ensure the whereabouts of his children with their mother, but investigators immediately rejected his justification:
- Security resolution: Investigations confirmed that police databases are designed to track criminals, not to resolve family disputes or monitor individuals.
- Professional downfall: The officer was arrested and faced charges of misconduct and unauthorized use of computer systems, and he was placed on paid leave pending his resignation and trial.
It can be said that when police surveillance tools are used for personal revenge and charges are fabricated with lies... the cameras that monitor criminals become evidence that leads the officer himself to the dock.
