تمكنت فرق الإطفاء من احتواء 27% من حريق غابات في ولاية نيفادا الأمريكية.
وأظهرت التقييمات الأولية أن الحريق، المعروف باسم «حريق هوك»، اندلع في منطقة جبلية على أطراف مدينة رينو، وأسفر عن تدمير 32 منزلاً وإلحاق أضرار بستة منازل أخرى.
فيما حذّر قائد فرق الإطفاء ريتشارد إدواردز من احتمال ارتفاع هذه الأرقام.
وامتد الحريق، الذي اندلع (السبت)، على مساحة تجاوزت 6 آلاف هكتار، وأسفر عن إصابة سبعة أشخاص، بينهم ثلاثة من رجال الإطفاء.
Firefighting teams have managed to contain 27% of a wildfire in the state of Nevada, USA.
Initial assessments showed that the fire, known as the "Hawk Fire," broke out in a mountainous area on the outskirts of the city of Reno, resulting in the destruction of 32 homes and damage to six other houses.
Meanwhile, fire chief Richard Edwards warned of the possibility of these numbers rising.
The fire, which broke out on Saturday, has spread over an area exceeding 6,000 hectares and has resulted in the injury of seven people, including three firefighters.
