لقي أربعة أشخاص مقتلهم إثر تحطم طائرة صغيرة كانت تقلهم في مياه ضحلة بجوار بلدة ساحلية نائية في ولاية ألاسكا الأمريكية.
وأفاد رئيس فرع ألاسكا في المجلس الوطني لسلامة النقل كلينت جونسون بأن الطائرة تحطمت بعد وقت قصير من إقلاعها من مطار بلدة سيلدوفيا الساحلية الصغيرة، التي تقع على بعد نحو 136 ميلاً (219 كيلومتراً) جنوب غربي أنكوريج، مبيناً أن الطائرة غمرتها المياه على عمق نحو 15 قدماً (6.4 متر) في قناة سيلدوفيا المائية بالقرب من الشاطئ.
وتمكن أفراد الشرطة من انتشال جثث الأشخاص الأربعة البالغين من الطائرة، فيما لم تتضح أسباب التحطم.
Four people lost their lives when a small plane crashed into shallow waters near a remote coastal town in the state of Alaska, USA.
Clint Johnson, the head of the Alaska branch of the National Transportation Safety Board, reported that the plane crashed shortly after taking off from the small coastal town of Seldovia, located about 136 miles (219 kilometers) southwest of Anchorage, noting that the plane was submerged in about 15 feet (6.4 meters) of water in the Seldovia Channel near the shore.
Police officers were able to recover the bodies of the four adult victims from the plane, while the causes of the crash remain unclear.
