أحبطت السلطات التركية في ولاية أضنة جنوبي البلاد محاولة لتهريب كمية كبيرة من المخدرات، بعد توقيف امرأتين أجنبيتين عُثر داخل معدتيهما على 140 كبسولة تحتوي على نحو 1.5 كيلوغرام من مادة الميثامفيتامين.
وبدأت الواقعة عقب تلقي فرق مكافحة المخدرات التابعة لمديرية أمن أضنة معلومات عن استعداد امرأتين لإدخال شحنة من المخدرات إلى الولاية، لتباشر الفرق الأمنية عمليات المراقبة والتتبع، قبل توقيفهما برفقة شخصين آخرين بالقرب من محطة الحافلات المركزية في منطقة سيهان.
ولم تسفر عملية التفتيش الأولية عن العثور على أي مواد ممنوعة بحوزة المشتبه بهم، إلا أن عناصر الأمن اشتبهوا في احتمال إخفاء المخدرات داخل جسم المرأتين، وهي طريقة تُعرف باسم «Body Packing».
ونُقلت المرأتان إلى المستشفى لإجراء الفحوص الطبية، حيث كشفت الأشعة عن وجود أجسام غريبة داخل معدتيهما. وبعد تدخل طبي، تمكن الأطباء من استخراج 140 كبسولة، بلغ إجمالي وزن محتوياتها نحو 1.5 كيلوغرام من الميثامفيتامين.
وتأتي الحادثة بعد واقعة مماثلة شهدها مطار إسطنبول الشهر الماضي، حين أوقفت السلطات مسافرًا إيرانيًا للاشتباه في سلوكه، قبل أن تكشف الفحوص الطبية عن وجود 26 كبسولة من الميثامفيتامين داخل معدته، بوزن إجمالي بلغ نحو 380 غرامًا.
وتشكل طريقة إخفاء المخدرات داخل الجسم خطرًا بالغًا على حياة من ينقلونها، إذ قد يؤدي تلف إحدى الكبسولات أو تسرب محتوياتها إلى داخل الجسم إلى تسمم حاد ومضاعفات صحية خطيرة.
وبعد استكمال الإجراءات الطبية والأمنية، أُحيل المشتبه بهم الأربعة إلى القضاء، حيث قرر قاضي المناوبة توقيفهم وإيداعهم السجن على ذمة المحاكمة بتهم تتعلق بتهريب والاتجار بالمخدرات.
وتواصل الأجهزة الأمنية التركية جهودها لمكافحة شبكات تهريب المخدرات، بالاعتماد على المعلومات الاستخباراتية والمراقبة والفحوص الطبية للكشف عن أساليب التهريب التي يصعب رصدها بالطرق التقليدية.
The Turkish authorities in Adana province, southern Turkey, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs after detaining two foreign women who were found to have 140 capsules containing about 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine inside their stomachs.
The incident began after the anti-narcotics teams of the Adana Security Directorate received information about the readiness of two women to bring a shipment of drugs into the province, prompting the security teams to initiate surveillance and tracking operations before detaining them along with two other individuals near the central bus station in the Seyhan district.
The initial search did not yield any illegal substances in the possession of the suspects; however, security personnel suspected that the drugs might be concealed inside the bodies of the women, a method known as "Body Packing."
The two women were transferred to the hospital for medical examinations, where X-rays revealed the presence of foreign objects inside their stomachs. After medical intervention, doctors were able to extract 140 capsules, with a total weight of their contents amounting to about 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine.
This incident follows a similar case that occurred at Istanbul Airport last month, when authorities detained an Iranian traveler due to suspicious behavior, later revealing through medical examinations that he had 26 capsules of methamphetamine inside his stomach, weighing a total of about 380 grams.
The method of concealing drugs inside the body poses a significant risk to the lives of those transporting them, as the rupture of one of the capsules or leakage of its contents into the body can lead to acute poisoning and serious health complications.
After completing the medical and security procedures, the four suspects were referred to the judiciary, where the on-duty judge decided to detain them and remand them in custody pending trial on charges related to drug trafficking and smuggling.
The Turkish security agencies continue their efforts to combat drug smuggling networks, relying on intelligence information, surveillance, and medical examinations to uncover smuggling methods that are difficult to detect through traditional means.
