In a sensational scandal that has shaken both the church circles and the French public, the public prosecutor's office in the French city of Lille has opened a judicial investigation against Jacques Delvaux, a former priest in his eighties, following shocking allegations related to a series of sexual assaults and rapes targeting minors over the years.
The ongoing investigations have revealed horrifying details about how Delvaux exploited his position and the trust of families:
- Exploitation of summer camps: The investigations focus on incidents that occurred between 1990 and 2002, during which Delvaux is suspected of using the summer camps he organized to lure his victims, who were then aged between 5 and 18 years.
