شهد الشارع المصري حالة من الصدمة والرعب خلال الساعات الماضية، بعد أن تحول خلاف تقليدي حول رحلة نقل ذكي في منطقة المطرية بالقاهرة إلى جريمة دهس متعمدة، وثقتها كاميرات المراقبة بدقة وأشعلت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بالغضب.
بدأت المشكلة بمشادة كلامية حادة بين سائق أحد تطبيقات التوصيل الشهيرة وثلاث سيدات كن يستقلن السيارة، بعدما رفض السائق إكمال الرحلة للوجهة المحددة ودخوله الشارع النهائي بحجة الزحام، مطالباً إياهن بالنزول ومتابعة الطريق سيراً.
وعقب نزول السيدات من المركبة، قامت إحداهن بالاعتراض وإغلاق باب السيارة بقوة ناتجة عن انفعال المشادة، وهو التصرف الذي أثار غضب السائق، حيث صعد بالسيارة فوق الرصيف وانطلق نحو الفتاة بسرعة ليصدمها عمداً وسط صراخ وذهول المارة ووالدتها، قبل أن يفر هارباً من موقع الحادثة.
أثارت هذه الواقعة موجة من الاستنكار، لترد وزارة الداخلية المصرية ببيان سريع أعلنت فيه ضبط السائق والتحفظ على السيارة في وقت قياسي. وتبين أن الضحية موظفة خدمة عملاء أصيبت بكدمات ورضوض بالغة في القدم والجسم.
من جانبها، سارعت الشركة المسؤولة عن التطبيق إلى حظر حساب السائق وإيقافه نهائياً عن العمل، بينما تواجه النيابة العامة المتهم بمقاطع الفيديو القاطعة بعد ادعائه أن الحركة كانت نتيجة الانفعال ولم تكن نية دهس معتمد، تمهيداً لمحاكمته بتهم التعدي العمد وتعريض حياة المواطنين للخطر.
The Egyptian street witnessed a state of shock and horror in recent hours, after a traditional dispute over a smart ride in the Matariya area of Cairo turned into a deliberate hit-and-run crime, captured accurately by surveillance cameras and igniting outrage on social media.
The problem began with a heated verbal altercation between the driver of a popular ride-hailing app and three women who were in the car, after the driver refused to complete the trip to the specified destination and entered the final street, citing traffic congestion, demanding that they get out and continue on foot.
After the women exited the vehicle, one of them protested and slammed the car door shut due to the tension of the argument, an action that provoked the driver’s anger, as he drove the car up onto the sidewalk and sped towards the girl, deliberately hitting her amidst the screams and shock of passersby and her mother, before fleeing the scene of the incident.
This incident sparked a wave of condemnation, prompting the Egyptian Ministry of Interior to respond with a swift statement announcing the arrest of the driver and the seizure of the vehicle in record time. It was revealed that the victim, a customer service employee, sustained severe bruises and contusions to her foot and body.
For its part, the company responsible for the app quickly moved to ban the driver’s account and permanently suspend him from work, while the public prosecutor is facing the accused with conclusive video evidence after he claimed that the movement was a result of anger and not a deliberate intention to run her over, in preparation for prosecuting him on charges of intentional assault and endangering the lives of citizens.
