أصدرت وكالة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية اليوم أعلى مستوى من التحذير من الانهيارات الأرضية الطارئة عند المستوى الخامس في بلدة ياكوشيما بمقاطعة كاجوشيما، وهي جزء من منطقة كيوشو جنوب غرب اليابان.
وتعرضت البلدة لأمطار غزيرة جراء الأمطار الغزيرة المستمرة من الليلة الماضية، والتي تشكلت بشكل متقطع بسبب آثار إعصار كروفان، وهو الإعصار الـ24 هذا العام، ومنخفض استوائي.
وفي منطقة أونويدا بالبلدة، بلغ منسوب هطول الأمطار خلال 24 ساعة 490.5 ملليمتر، لتسجل رقماً قياسياً للمنطقة، حيث سُجلت أقصى سرعة للرياح 25.9 متر في الثانية.
وقالت الوكالة: «إن إعصار كروفان يقع فوق البحر شمال مقاطعة أوكيناوا، أقصى جنوب اليابان، بينما يقع المنخفض الاستوائي فوق البحر جنوب شرق مقاطعة أوكيناوا».
The Japan Meteorological Agency today issued the highest level of emergency landslide warning at level five in the town of Yakushima in Kagoshima Prefecture, which is part of the Kyushu region in southwestern Japan.
The town has been subjected to heavy rainfall due to continuous downpours since last night, which intermittently formed as a result of Typhoon Kurovan, the 24th typhoon of this year, and a tropical depression.
In the Onuida area of the town, the rainfall amount over 24 hours reached 490.5 millimeters, setting a record for the region, with a maximum wind speed recorded at 25.9 meters per second.
The agency stated: "Typhoon Kurovan is located over the sea north of Okinawa Prefecture, the southernmost part of Japan, while the tropical depression is situated over the sea southeast of Okinawa Prefecture."
