أعلن المجلس الوطني لسلامة النقل الأمريكي رفع الصندوقين الأسودين لطائرة الشحن التي تجاوزت مدرج الهبوط في مطار ميامي الدولي بولاية فلوريدا، الأحد الماضي، في حادث أسفر عن وفاة خمسة أشخاص وإصابة خمسة آخرين، بينهم ثلاثة في حالة حرجة.
وأوضح المجلس أن الصندوقين، وهما مسجل بيانات الرحلة ومسجل صوت قمرة القيادة، نُقلا إلى مقر المجلس في واشنطن لفحصهما وتحليل محتوياتهما، ضمن التحقيقات الجارية للكشف عن أسباب الحادث.
الطائرة تجاوزت المدرج واصطدمت بمركبتين
وكانت الطائرة، وهي من طراز «بوينغ 767-33A»، تعمل لصالح «أمازون برايم إير» وتشغلها شركة «21 Air»، قد تجاوزت نهاية المدرج أثناء هبوطها بعد وصولها من سان خوان في بورتوريكو، قبل أن تصطدم بمركبتين على الأرض.
ووفق المجلس، تجاوزت الطائرة السطح المعبّد للمدرج بنحو 396 متراً، واصطدمت أولاً بشاحنة تقل سبعة أشخاص من طاقم لتنظيف الطائرات داخل نطاق المطار، قبل أن تخترق السياج المحيط وتصطدم بمركبة أخرى كانت تسير على طريق خارج المطار.

ونجا قائد الطائرة ومساعده، وهما الشخصان الوحيدان اللذان كانا على متنها، فيما أكد المجلس أن الوفيات الخمس كانت بين الأشخاص الموجودين في المركبتين اللتين اصطدمت بهما الطائرة.
وأفادت السلطات بإصابة خمسة أشخاص آخرين، ثلاثة منهم في حالة حرجة، بينما نُقل مصابان آخران إلى المستشفى بإصابات أقل خطورة.
التحقيق يبحث أسباب تجاوز المدرج
ويحقق المجلس في مجموعة من العوامل المحتملة التي أدت إلى تجاوز الطائرة المدرج، من بينها موقع ملامستها للأرض وسرعتها وأداء المكابح وحالة الطائرة والظروف الجوية والرياح وقت الحادث.
وقالت رئيسة المجلس الوطني لسلامة النقل جينيفر هومندي إن تحديد السبب المرجح للحادث لن يتم إلا بعد استكمال التحقيق وتحليل الأدلة والبيانات التي جُمعت من موقع الحادث والصندوقين الأسودين.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced the retrieval of the black boxes from the cargo plane that overshot the runway at Miami International Airport in Florida last Sunday, in an incident that resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to five others, three of whom are in critical condition.
The board explained that the two boxes, which are the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder, were transported to the board's headquarters in Washington for examination and analysis of their contents, as part of the ongoing investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
The plane overshot the runway and collided with two vehicles
The aircraft, a Boeing 767-33A, operated for Amazon Prime Air and managed by 21 Air, overshot the end of the runway during its landing after arriving from San Juan in Puerto Rico, before colliding with two vehicles on the ground.
According to the board, the plane overshot the paved surface of the runway by about 396 meters, first striking a truck carrying seven people from the aircraft cleaning crew within the airport's vicinity, before breaching the surrounding fence and colliding with another vehicle that was traveling on a road outside the airport.
Survival of the pilots
The pilot and co-pilot survived, being the only two people on board, while the board confirmed that the five fatalities were among the individuals in the two vehicles that the plane struck.
Authorities reported that five other people were injured, three of them in critical condition, while two others were taken to the hospital with less serious injuries.
The investigation examines the reasons for overshooting the runway
The board is investigating a range of potential factors that led to the plane overshooting the runway, including its touchdown location, speed, braking performance, aircraft condition, and the weather and wind conditions at the time of the incident.
NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy stated that determining the likely cause of the accident will not occur until the investigation is complete and the evidence and data collected from the accident site and the black boxes are analyzed.
