أحبطت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي في لبنان محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من مادة الكوكايين وصلت من إحدى دول أمريكا اللاتينية، بعد كشفِ شبكة تعمل على إدخال المخدرات عبر مسافرين يستخدمون أساليب تمويه معقدة داخل الحقائب.
وبحسب المعلومات التي توافرت لمكتب مكافحة المخدرات المركزي، فإن الشبكة التي تنشط في البرازيل وتضم لبنانيين، تعتمد على إخفاء المخدرات داخل الأمتعة بطريقة احترافية يصعب كشفها. وبعد تحليل المعطيات وتتبع حركة المسافرين، رصد المكتب التحضير لعملية تهريب جديدة عبر مطار الشهيد رفيق الحريري الدولي.
وبالتنسيق مع الأمن العام اللبناني، أوقف أحد المسافرين بتاريخ 25 أغسطس 2026، وهو المدعو (ع.ط.) من مواليد 1986، فور وصوله إلى بيروت. وخلال تفتيش حقائبه، ضُبطت كمية من الكوكايين تزن نحو 4.9 كيلوغرام، كانت ممزوجة بمواد لاصقة ومخبأة في قعر حقيبتين بطريقة دقيقة تهدف إلى تضليل أجهزة الكشف.
واعترف الموقوف خلال التحقيق بدوره في العملية، موضحًا أن فصل المخدرات عن المواد الممزوجة بها كان سيجري لاحقًا داخل لبنان، في خطوة تكشف تطور أساليب التهريب التي تعتمدها شبكات المخدرات. وتواصل الأجهزة الأمنية ملاحقة باقي المتورطين، فيما يجري اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بإشراف القضاء المختص.
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces in Lebanon thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine that arrived from one of the Latin American countries, after uncovering a network that operates to bring drugs through travelers using complex camouflage methods inside their luggage.
According to information provided to the Central Drug Control Office, the network, which is active in Brazil and includes Lebanese individuals, relies on hiding drugs inside luggage in a professional manner that is difficult to detect. After analyzing the data and tracking the movements of travelers, the office monitored preparations for a new smuggling operation through Rafic Hariri International Airport.
In coordination with the Lebanese General Security, one of the travelers was arrested on August 25, 2026, identified as (A.T.), born in 1986, immediately upon his arrival in Beirut. During the search of his luggage, a quantity of cocaine weighing about 4.9 kilograms was found, mixed with adhesive materials and hidden at the bottom of two bags in a precise manner aimed at misleading detection devices.
The arrested individual confessed during the investigation to his role in the operation, explaining that the separation of the drugs from the mixed materials would take place later inside Lebanon, a step that reveals the evolution of smuggling methods used by drug networks. Security agencies continue to pursue the remaining individuals involved, while legal actions are being taken under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
