This was not an ordinary driving tour on the public road; it turned into an exciting security scene that revealed the involvement of a Kuwaiti girl in a dangerous network for drug trafficking and use, facing a strict judicial ruling that reflects the severity of Kuwaiti laws in confronting these crimes.
The details of the incident date back to the monitoring of public security patrols in Kuwait, which spotted a vehicle moving strangely and erratically on the public road, signaling an imminent danger. Upon stopping the vehicle and verifying the identity of its driver, it became clear that the driver was a girl who was in an abnormal state showing signs of substance abuse. The shock did not stop there, as a thorough search of the vehicle revealed quantities of various narcotic substances that were prepared and ready for promotion and sale.
Immediately, the accused, along with the seized items, was referred to the Drug Control Administration to complete the investigations and uncover the circumstances and extensions of the case. Upon referring the file to the judiciary, the Criminal Court issued a strict ruling (based on the new drug law) sentencing the girl to life imprisonment, imposing a fine of 50,000 Kuwaiti dinars, in addition to revoking her driving license for a full year.
