In the crowded streets of Cairo, where the sounds of daily life intertwine with the harshness of circumstances, young Maryam Abdel Nabi (25 years old) paints a legendary picture of sacrifice and motherhood. She has become the talk of millions after the cruelty of poverty forced her to ride a bicycle all day to deliver orders, undeterred by the difficulty of the road, carrying her two children on her bike due to the lack of a place to shelter them or the financial means to enroll them in daycare.
Maryam Abdel Nabi, who found herself alone facing the burdens of life after her separation, refuses to give up or extend a hand of begging to others, repeating her phrase that shook the walls of hearts: "Working is not shameful; the shame is helplessness." Instead of leaving her children behind the scenes, she placed them in front of and behind her on her worn-out bicycle, the same bike she uses to confront her debts and mounting financial obligations amidst harsh conditions, until her images became a massive "trend" on social media under the slogan "See me with a compassionate heart."
This spontaneous plea did not go unnoticed; it prompted the Minister of Social Solidarity in Egypt to issue urgent directives for immediate intervention and to study her case to provide the necessary support, hoping that Maryam Abdel Nabi's simple ambition of obtaining a motorcycle and a project that preserves her dignity will soon become a reality.
